What you must know

We are happy that You decide to take treatment in our clinic!

For the quick and easy registration and treatment You are to consider the following information.

We are waiting for You in our clinic at 8.30 a.m. in the day of the appointment.

The surgical treatment is carried out under the general anesthesia that is why You have to follow definite pieces of advice:

  1. The last food and drink intake should be organized in the evening before the operation;
  2. On the day of the operation any food and drink intake is strictly forbidden;
  3. If a child is taking any anticonvulsives, it is possible to give him the usual dose with 2 – 3 water drinks not later than 6 a.m. before the operation;

You have to bring 2 sheets and clean shoes with You (for the visitors).

First visit you have to do the following medical tests domiciliary:

  1. HIV- test /metod enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, ELISA/;
  2. Hepatitis B – test;
  3. Hepatitis C – test;
  4. Blood group and Rh-factor – test;
  5. Clinical blood analysis: blood clotting time, BT. The analysis is valid for 10 days;
  6. Clinical urine analysis. The analysis is valid for 10 days;
  7. FBS – test;
  8. ECG – test;
  9. Exact weight and stature;
  10. Hip joint X-ray film;
  11. Case record;
  12. Doctor’s certificate, which proves that the patient has no contraindications to surgery.

Repeated visit you have to do the following medical tests domiciliary:

Postanesthetic period care

Your child is operated under general anesthetization with the use of modern anesthetic, which doesn’t have any toxic action on your child’s organism. We've seen to minimize the painful sensation, nausea and vomiting in the postoperative period.

After the discharge from the hospital you have to:

  1. Remain your child in the level position during 4 – 5 hours. Later if the child wishes to, he may sit;
  2. Give your child to drink during 2-3 hours (spring drinks and concentrated juices are forbidden);
  3. Feed your child in 1-2 hours. You may use the feeding schedule your child accustomed to;
  4. Remove all pressure dressings in 4-6 hours after discharge;
  5. Give the supplementary anesthetics during 2-3 days 2 times a day;
    • children under 3 years – Analgin, Cefecon (in suppositories), Ibufen;
    • children of  3 – 14 years – Nise, Panadol, Nurofen, Analgin (in syrup or in tablets), Ibufen;
    • children over 14 years – Nise, Panadol, Nurofen, Analgin, Ketorol, Ketonal, Ketoprofen (capsules)
    The dosage is according to the instructions. You may use the same drugs as the antifebrile.
  6. Abstain from eating, if the child suffers from nausea and vomiting. Give him Cerucal. Feed on Regidron, tea with sugar or on still mineral water until it stops to vomit.
